Good to see the docs.

For my understanding: What's the exact focus of this document? Do
you have more chapters in mind? If yes, which?

Naming _ldap could cause confusion. The programming examples also
mention "import _ldap". Is this the preferred way. IMHO not.

It would be nice if the sub sections also appear in the PDF index.
The description of the LDAPObject methods in section 1.1.5 could be
divided into sections containing similar methods:

- Misc
- Searching
- Adding/Modifying
- Attributes
...
