PyTectonics can be run from any operating system with Python installed. PyTectonics has been tested on both 2.6 and 2.7 and should be compatible with either version.
Install Python 2.7, if you haven't done so already.
Install the latest version of Vpython from the project website. The download will also install Numpy if it's not already on your system.
Install the latest version of Scipy. You can find the latest version for Windows here.

Once your libraries are installed, simply unzip the download and click "main.py" to begin. pyTectonics works with a lot of data points on startup, so it may take a few seconds for the world to initialize after the render window appears.
pyTectonics currently uses most of Vpython's default controls for the render window:
Buttons in the control panel adjust the map type and projection.
