[Pytables-users] ANN: PyTables 1.1-rc1 available

Hi List,

After one week of testing and fixing (many of the fixes reported by
the users), the beta3 version, a PyTables 1.1 release candidate 1
version is available for the next round of tests. The Windows platform
has been tested now, and it passes all the tests (at least using
Python 2.4 and Win XP). The MacOSX seems to still have some problem
with the UCL compressor, although I cannot check it for myself.

+1 the pytables-20050702 snapshot perfectly works on a fresh Fedora Core 4=
=20
installation.

I just realized that you included my name on the "PyTables User's Guide" fr=
ont=20
page. Thank you very very much :))) That was unexpected for me!

I read it again fro the beginning an found a couple of little inconsistency=
=2E=20
Please take a look to the attached file.

Good. I'll try to release PyTables 1.1 as soon as I can, because it
seems quite free of bugs. I'm a bit worried about UCL problems on MacOSX
though.

Well, you have contributed quite interesting bits, like CArray objects
and a more consistent treatement of attributes as well as native HDF5
support for multidimensional attributes. Besides you have delivered a
very nice documentation about your patches. So your inclusion in the list
of authors in the manual is totally deserved :)
