I would like to create a pytables hdf file in either c a
or c++ program. Does anyone have an example of this or

I have no examples. However, you can look into the Appendix D
(http://pytables.sourceforge.net/html-doc/usersguide11.html) for a list
of the datasets that are supported by PyTables currently, so that you
can use the HDF5 C API in order to create a truly native PyTables file.
