PyTables is using tbook from version 0.1, so I think this is not the
problem. In fact, you don't need tbook installed at all in order to
generated the docs because on every public release of pyatbles the
HTML and PDF versions of User's Manual do come with the source
tarball. Look at the debian/ directory in pytables distribution in
order to see how the doc package is generated.
