Hi Francesc,

Hmmm, strange.  I will look into the install error.  I
did get the source tarball from the pytables site.  I
don't think I already had pytables installed because I
could not import it previously.  If there was a fatal
error when I did install....I don't understand why I
can import it now.  I'm actually installing on a
different machine right now and was about to post a
message regarding that install.

I'll try a fresh install and see what happens.

On another note, can someone tell me how I can attach
messages to this mailing list to a particular thread? 
I don't see anything like a 'reply' or post to thread
on the mailing list page.
