Which version of pyssh are you using?? Version 0.2 works (mostly) on Win32, and does not require pty on Win32 (in fact, such a thing does not make sense). There are still some issues in the win32 setup, but in many circumstances it should work ok. If you have issues, my best suggestion would be to use the Cygwin version of ssh, which pyssh should work quite well with. Go to the project page: http://sourceforge.net/projects/pyssh and download from there. I'll update the main website now. I'd forgotton all about it, and it still points to the old pyssh.
