[Pysnmp-dev] SNMP v3

Hi all,

I'm a newbie to pysnmp.  I have never used it (yet)?
I am looking for a way write an SNMP manager that supports the v3 
security model.

I have looked at YapSnmp but v3 isn't supported yet.  I've emailed the 
maintainer a number of times and he says that it shouldn't be too hard 
to do but time has passed by and still no v3 :(

I saw on this list that v3 could also be supported soon.  Is anybody 
working on it?  If so when is it expected to be available?

I think YapSnmp is a wrapper to net-snmp.  Is PySnmp the same or is it 
written from scratch??
