Hello!
Serial ports on USB has the name of /dev/ttyUSB? on the Unix platform. I use the "auto scan" example to find active ports and I wanted to find serial ports on USB too.

I have so far patched all places in my install base, but it is better if the patch comes in upstreams.I have used it for years, but my ignorance has made me not send it in as patch.

Anyhow, simple patch; all portnumbers on the linux platform below 128 is defined as /dev/ttyS? and portnumbers above 128 is defined as /dev/ttyUSB?.

Patch is against 2.2, but so simple it is easily hand patched.

Thanks,
/Stefan

    nice hack ;-)

rather than changing the behavior at a randomly chosen number i prefer a better scan example instead. the scanlinux.py example was added.
