It would be nice to have get-functions to read the current status of the output signals (TX break, DTR, RTS). Useful in (embedded) control projects.
I'm not sure reading back those states si supported on all platforms. Anyway, it would be easer to just remember the last state that was set. If you'd like to have this remembered in the serial port object instead of your application, i'm sure it would be possible to write a mix-in class that adds this feature optionally.
i would package such a mix-in class but right now i don't think that the base serial class needs that functionality.
