Hi, Whatever happens with pySDL, it seems like it makes sense for pygame to be linked to from libsdl or wherever else. Maybe Pete Shinners is holding off on that at this stage so he can have a little more freedom to make sweeping changes in it. The modular framework of pygame seems like a good idea and Mark Baker pretty much opposed that, so that's something differentiating the two. also Mark had some interesting ideas like making pysdl more accessible from c code so games could be mostly written in python/pysdl and then parts could be more easily moved to c. too bad it might never happen, but I guess people disappear from scenes all the time. or maybe he'll come back and work on it more, who knows. One thing about pygame that I appreciate is Pete Shinners seems to want people to be able to get it running on different machines without a huge ordeal. his effort to get it working with distutils so that wouldn't have to be a total nightmare is pretty thoughtful. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
