I think I may "bang out" something that works for me. If it will be usable
for other people remains to be seen. I still have very experience with
Python AND pysdl, so don't have too high hopes for somethign really
good... :-) 

Pete: you don't need to reply directly to me, as I'm on the list, so I
just end up with duplicates of every mail.
