i've gone through the WINDOWS compiling
gauntlet. i've got a version of the latest
pysdl 0.0.7 ready to go. this version comes
with all your favorite dependencies.
JPG, PNG, MP3, and others are all available. 

included in the 520K zipfile... 
 PySDL 0.0.7 
 SDL 1.1.4 (latest CVS release) 
 SDL_Image 1.0.9 
 SDL_mixer 1.0.6 
 SDL_ttf 1.2.1 
 freetype 1.3.1 
 SMPEG 0.4.0 
 plus all the pysdl readme and info files 

note that the SDL included is not an official
release, but i've been using 1.1.4 and had no problems. plus 1.1.4 has my patch that cuts
win32 init time in half.
