Thanks, Kevin (and Detlev) for your work on this--I'm quite eager to play with a pyqt-mac with updated components. I would also volunteer to work on future builds to keep this up to date (qt4 is not far off...), but I would need some guidance the first time through. Any chance you could spell out your steps in creating this package? I'd like to try to build it myself. Will I get far if I just grab all the individual pieces and start building? Or are there many stumbling blocks along the way? One of the reasons I've been very happy to have moved to os-x from linux is that I never found "./configure, make, make install" to go anywhere near as smoothly as it is supposed to. But I do still consider myself to be working in a unix environment, so it would be a good experience for me to learn how to maintain a package.
