No, news.gmane.org doesn't share its feed with other newsservers, so
postings never propagates to Google's newsserver.

Check out http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/Mail/ They have searchable
archives for many Python related lists, including python-dev.

I personally have downloaded the mbox archives of the Python SIG groups
I'm interested in and use my MUA to search in them. That doesn't easily
work for mailing lists hosted on Sourceforge, though. You'd have to ask
the list admin (Bill Allie here) to send you an mbox archive, as only
list admins have access to these archives for Sourceforge lists.

Speaking of which, I have a complete archive of this list, too, so if
anybody's interested, just drop me a note.
