Previous desktop's labels not erased

  • Anonymous - 2005-01-13

When i switch desktops, the names of the programs in the panel don't get erased, the new ones just get added so the text is jumbled:

It looks like transparency might be causing a problem.  I tried several levels, but they didn't seem to affect anything.

Any idea what might cause this?

PyPanel 1.3 used to work for me, but some library upgrade killed it, and i haven't been able to get 2.0 to work.

    Thanks for any help,
    eric  (missing my pypanel)

I believe the problems you're seeing are related to the new Imlib2-1.2.0 version.  If you run pypanel from a terminal, you'll probably see a bunch of Imlib2 warnings.  I'm working on a fix and should have the next release out soon.  In the meantime, please try downgrading to Imlib2-1.1.2 if possible.

I installed 1.1.2, but get the same messages.  I think i'll just kick back until the fix, and maybe the tiff fix if that does cause problems.
