Hi Mike, Firstly - thanks for jumping all the way to doing this. Looks like the extension has made it thro ARB approval. I found the EXT version here: http://developer.apple.com/graphicsimaging/opengl/extensions.html specifically: http://developer.apple.com/graphicsimaging/opengl/extensions/ext_texture_rectangle.html It will be a little while before I can test this: my question was preempting some porting work, but I'll let you know if there are any troubles when I do.
