[PyOpenGL-Users] gtkgl: gtkglext or gtkglarea?

Hello,

I often use GL within GTK. Gtkgl died quietly, and now I have to choose
between gtkglext or gtkglarea. Gtkglext can be used as almost a drop-in
replacement, but gtkglarea seems to have some promising features too.
Can someone explain the differences and what is important for choosing
one.
