I've just checked in a functional (but still rudimentary) WGL and win32ui-based VRML97 Text node for OpenGLContext 2.0. I'm wondering if anyone has code for creating AGL (apple) and/or XGL (*nix) OpenGL fonts (polygon-based) that they'd be willing to contribute?
