I've painfully created new Xcode templates that are based on py2app.
These templates should actually be useful for building real
applications, though I haven't tried using them for that yet :) They
do some convenient things for you (automatically running extractClasses
and importing your modules, for example), and you won't end up with a
bunch of crusty old code in your projects because all of the "heavy
lifting" is done externally in py2app and PyObjCTools.XcodeSupport.
In other words, when you upgrade PyObjC and/or py2app, all you need to
do is rebuild to take advantage of enhancements to the bootstrap, build
