I found the absolute best resource to be Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X, by Aaron Hillegass. I simply ignored all of the memory management stuff and used PyObjC rather than ObjC. The only gotcha I remember is adding @endSheetMethod onto things such as openPanelDidEnd_returnCode_contextInfo_().
