I have a program that I've been writing using Xcode,
pyObjc and py2app. Up until this point I've been using
the standard python on Mac OSX Tiger which is 2.3. I
needed to use the subprocess module, so I installed
2.4 and changed the lead line in my setup.py file to
read:
#!/usr/local/bin/python2.4
Now the application being created runs properly, but
py2app is copying the entire python installation,
documentation and all into the application bundle,
making it about 28MB instead of the usual 2.
Any idea why it's doing this?
This is my setup.py:
#!/usr/local/bin/python2.4

Distutils script for building Crimson.
Development:
xcodebuild -buildstyle Development
Deployment:
xcodebuild -buildstyle Deployment
These will place the executable in
the "build" dir by default.
Alternatively, you can use py2app directly.
Development:
python setup.py py2app --alias
Deployment:
python setup.py py2app
These will place the executable in
the "dist" dir by default.
