With all that, we can set the list up on python.org. The only thing subscribers would need to do locally (or serverly) is change any filtering rules (procmail, Mail.app, &c) to account for the new List-Id, and change the list address in their address books. I don't have a SF maintainer/developer account, so I'm not sure I can do much with that end of the equation, but I can help do the migration if a project maintainer (Bill, Ronald, or sdm7g?) can get the ball rolling with SF.
