Okay, it really did install (since the version reported by objc.__version__ IS '1.0'), so I'm all set. The PackageManager repository opened at http://pyobjc.sf.net/packman/pyobjc-stable-6.6-Power_Macintosh.plist is listing both 1.0 and 1.0b1 (the standard database only shows 1.0b1).
