The error your getting from extract_byref_signatures was introduced 
when I converted from the old function names to 
getClassList/lookUpClass :-(

BTW. This script should only be run when there are new classes or 
methods, the _AppKitSignatures.py module is updated using the script 
create_byref_module.py.

I've checked in both changes.
