should have option disp as in the link above? Can you test your scipy with the function optimize.fmin with the option?

When attempting to create a Type 5 Nomogram, the application faults generating the following:
x_top=fmin(func_top,[1.0],disp=0,ftol=1e-5,xtol=1e-5)[0]
TypeError: 'disp' is an invalid keyword to fmin
This was from the Type 5 example script on the Pynomo site, running on the latest win32 binary.

I didn't create a script. I entered the command directly into the command line after importing scipy. Would it create a different result running through a script?

Fixed it. Modified nomo_grid_box.py (Lines 417 and 418). Called fmin explicitly (i.e., scipy.optimize.fmin(...)

Great you managed to solve the problem. Maybe some other library has fmin function loaded after scipy.optimize import... Running script or command line should not make a difference. I changed the code in SVN. Thanks!
