    Hi there,

I wanted to try pymw but there are major issues. I try here to report them properly.

    pb1 - I followed *http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/PyMw*, which asks me at some points to run "*python monte_pi.py -n 1 -i boinc -p /home/boincadm/projects/sandbox -c /home/boincadm/pyboinc -a 1.00_python26.zip*"
BUT the options -c and -a are unknown to the script I have

pb2 - then I found *http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/PythonMw* (why 2 pages?) which indicates the proper options. But here, it fails to create the windows client application executable. It complians : "  Ignoring directory (no main program found - it has to be named the same as the directory) /home/boincadm/projects/sand
    box/apps/pymw/pymw_1.00_windows_intelx86"
Indeed, there is a .exe at the end of the file name (and it differs from the directory name)

pb3 - I stopped it when it asked for the signature, hoping to fix the setup script but then if I restart it it says: "PyMW client applications are already installed"

BTW may I suggest indicating more explicitely the http:…/sandbox_ops URL, it helps.

All this being said, pymw remains a very attractive SW! :-)
And even more, if someone helps me. :-)

    Thanks

    JL

    JL,

    Thanks for your comments.

The PyMW BOINC interface just got major revisions by Jeremy Cowles over the summer, and should work better in version 0.3 (to be released very soon).  The PythonMW pages on the BOINC website are out of date, and we'll remove them soon.

    -Eric
