Currently this it is only possible using the mouse. Please file and
RFE (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=4546&atid=354546) and
we'll get to it. Labels should be capable of being programmatically
repositioned. Here's how I see it happening:
# for the selected atom(s) set their label offsets:
set label_position, [ -0.5, 1.2, -0.5 ], (sele)
