Hi PyMOL'ers. We have RHEL 6 at our uni lab. 64 bit computers, so the pymol 1.3 in the official channels did not work. So, I figured out how to install necessary .rpm packages from CentOS repositories. Now you can build you own subversion pymol in RHEL 6. *The install script include automatic setup of: *PluginArchitecture <http://www.pymolwiki.org/index.php/PluginArchitecture>- Smart installation of scripts from for example Dr. Robert L. Campbell scripts<http://pldserver1.biochem.queensu.ca/%7Erlc/work/pymol/>. Pymol-script-repo <http://www.pymolwiki.org/index.php/Git> - A long list of the modules available at the pymolwiki Freemol <http://www.freemol.org/> - So you can save .mpg videos right away. The installation is explained here: RHEL 6<http://www.pymolwiki.org/index.php/Linux_Install#Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux_RHEL_6_compile_and_install_with_MPEG_support_for_x86_64_bit> Ubuntu / Mint<http://www.pymolwiki.org/index.php/Linux_Install#Ubuntu.2FMint_12_compile_and_install_with_MPEG_support> And the install script here: http://www.pymolwiki.org/index.php/Linux_Install#Install_script Best Troels |
