[PyMOL] transparency for nb_spheres

Hello,

I am using "nb_spheres" to represent waters in a figure I am generating but 
cannot figure out how to make them transparent (i.e. set 
sphere_transparency=x only works for traditional spheres).  Any help would 
be greatly appreciated.
