Hi !

I am a new user to Pymol. I run it on a windows XP
platform. I would like to change the default "PyMol>"
prompt into the current working directory (e.g.
C:\Program files\). Could anyone help ?

Thank you

That wouldn't be possible without making changes to the C
    source code.

If you have a shortcut and click on properties and change the "start in" directory to whatever you want the default directory/current directory should change to that.
