When using a Nivida based 3D accelerator, FX5xxx or
newer there is an option to differentiate between 2D
(power saving) and 3D (max performance) mode.
PyMol (V0.98) does first initialise the fast 3D-mode
frequencies but after a short time (meanwhile still
running PyMol 0.98) frequencies go back to low
It would be nice if PyMol could use continously the
better performing higher frequencies.
In the attached file you can see how the frequency
drops though the application is still open.
