#2 PyMat for Python 2.4 (+)?

Are there plans for an updated release of pymat? I am
aware of NumPy and Pylab (matlabplotlib) but there is
still a lot of matlab functionality (sorting arrays
with row conservation,etc.) that are not provided by
these. Also, the ability to pass data back and forth
from matlab to python is a great feature for people
that are trying to ease the transition into python.
