PyMaster 0.5 Released

PyMaster 0.5 has been released.

Most notably, this release abandons the chance-based way the master/mistress decides whether or not you're allowed to do something, and replaces it with a wait-based method. The amount of time you have to wait is based on a base value which grows geometrically with each unpunished misdeed, and decays geometrically with each completed task. The amount the wait time can grow is effectively limited by the fact that the master/mistress forgets that you did an activity after a certain period of time.

Other notable changes:

  • The amount of time the master/mistress remembers misdeeds and tasks decays geometrically with each new task or misdeed remembered.

  • For some reason I can't remember, the last release removed a feature that allowed you to beg the master/mistress to use the toilet when denied permission. This was a sort of emergency mechanism that you could only use very rarely. It's been added back in.

  • You can now reset the state of PyMaster with the new --reset command-line option, rather than having to delete the config folder manually.

  • Some tasks and punishments have been added and adjusted.
