[pyGEF-develop] What version of Traits?

Hi,

I'm trying to give pyGEF a try, but I'm getting:

Traceback (most recent call last):
   File "pyGEFDemo.py", line 45, in <module>
     from enthought.traits.ui.api import View, Item, ListEditor
ImportError: No module named api


I've just installed traits 1.1 from the enthought site, but it does not, 
indeed have a enthought.traits.ui.api module.

What version should I be using?

Note that there has been discussion on the matplotlib list recently 
about using Traits with matplotlib. From that discussion:

Traits 2. Otherwise, they will need to switch later.

Which probably applies to this project too.

It is using svn traits 3.0 right now.
It's going to use Traits 3.0's 'interfaces'.
That said I haven't tried to run it since Retief started going to town with
the Traits-ification.
I was sort of waiting for that 3.0 release which I'm sure must be just
around the corner.

It looks like you are missing traits.ui. At the moment you need to =20
install at least traits and traits.ui, and all there dependences.

I know that it is a real pain to install traits at the moment, but it =20=

has gotten a lot better in the last month or two that I have been =20
using it. I gave a lot of feedback to Rick how is writing the =20
enstaller. The problem is that the installation instructions on their =20=

wiki is a bit out of date. I will set up a document with the =20
requirements and installation instructions. Dave said that everything =20=

at enthought should be sorted out in about a month or two.
