    Could you please create per-repository cvsignore file with *.pyc pattern in it, so developers, downloading your sources won't need to add *.pyc to their local user files.

      Would you clarify the need for an ignore entry for *.pyc? The current CVS archive does not include the compiled Python files. They should only be created on the user's local machine when modules are imported during application runs, or perhaps during installation using distutils.

        You are right about the user - they don't need this.

        This is for the developer (e.g. for me :-) who gets a bunch of messages about *.pyc files when running "cvs update"
