This is a thing you need to update immideately!

The exe files isnt created even though you have the
latest python installed and run the binary installer!

Please fix this as soon as possible since it cant be
used by windows users at all unable to know how to
compile it!

Thanks !

Why do you think everything has to have it's own .exe? And
it is distributed in a complied state for you. It runs
under python, so you need to make a .lnk file which points
    to C:\Python22\pythonw.exe "C:\Program
    Files\PySolitaire\pysol.py" (substitute where you installed
python and pysolitaire, obviously). You might have to
include "C:\Program Files\PySolitaire" (or whatever) in the
'Run In' section of the shortcut as well. Enjoy!

I attempted an install and the compile can't even happen
because there is no exe to do it. The only exe's in the
package are the uninstaller and tidy.exe
This package is completely unusable this way. Please update.

Python compiles it to a compiled python file. There are no
exes. Install python first, then install pysolitare. the
shortcut will lead to python and pass the main py file as a
    parameter.

Ok...I think I know what he's saying here: The PySolitaire installer doesn't, at least with non-activestate Python 2.5, set the shortcuts correctly. Also, once installed, it doesn't run correctly with 2.5, at least not on a default install (the installer can't find pythonw.exe and running the program by hand causes errors, viewable with python.exe). This really needs to be fixed. Keep in mind that if PySolitaire is made for Python 2.2, it may be that it's not compatible with 2.5. I'm going to look into this further.

installed it and went to run it, and nothing at all happens...the prog doesn't even try to start. Looked for an exe file to run the program in it's folder, there is no application file in there xcept for uninstall. I have both active python and 2.5 python installed, yet Pysolitaire refuses to even start. xp os
