It went unmaintained for a long time, but had a bug fix release last year for 
the first time any many years and so while no significant development is being 
done there is can be bugfix releases as needed.

I'd also like to know what the bug/fix is so I get get the fix into the Debian 
package (I'm the maintainer for that).
