I've just tried it here, and it seems to work for me without any problems...
do you have some sample code you could pass me so that I can see if the problem
is related to your config or always happens?

Fabio,

I am trying to narrow the problem down, but so far I have not been able to determine
why the step into is failing. It is still not working for me in PyDev version
1.2.0. I have tried cleaning my projects, but is there any other state that
might be left around that could cause this?

I have just updated to Eclipse 3.2M7 and I am using JDK 1.4.2_09

Ok, the problem might be Eclipse 3.2. I'm facing some dificulties because the
debugger api changed and there are a couple of things to sort out (the variables
view is also not showing any variables here).

So, this might be the problem... I'm still working on porting pydev to 3.2,
and this might be one of those issues (I still didn't test this in 3.2).

Oh, sorry, I thought that the PyDev 1.2 release included Eclipse 3.2 support.

I'll stick with 1.0.6 for the short term.

Actually it does (I think that the only bug related to Eclipse 3.2 in pydev
1.2.0 is the debugger) -- 1.0.6 has its own share of problems with Eclipse 3.2
;-(
