Actually the latest 'stable' release would be jython 2.1 (have you tried with
it?)
Anyway, it should work with jython 2.2a1.
Do you have anything in your error log? Also, I think that there were problems
if your eclipse install had spaces (but that depends on the platform... I'm
not sure if that's an issue in mac -- because I don't have a mac were I can
test it).
Anyway, checking the error log might be a good indication of what's going wrong
when you add the interpreter (so, if you post it I can diagnose it better).
