I followed the instructions in the FAQ to uninstall pydev from eclipse, but
I aver I remove the two plugins, I still have the pydev perspective available,
and I'm still gettingthe nag screen every now and then? HOw to do I completely
remove pydev and all of its features?

Another choice is deleting all the folders org.python.pydev.* and com.python.pydev.*
under eclipse/plugins and eclipse/features (although it's strange that it didn't
work for you in the install dialog).

I deleted all the features and plugins that had "pydev" in their name (there
were none in the first place), and I'm still getting the nag screen and am able
to view the pydev perspective?

Did you restart eclipse? If that's not the case, you're probably looking in
the wrong features/plugins (do you have more than 1 eclipse install?) -- there's
no way pydev can be running without the folders/jars related to pydev in
features/plugins (at least not after a restart).

You can have multiple installs of Eclipse so you could just install 
another instance of Eclipse that points at the same workspace, tune it 
to your liking and then delete the original install at your leisure.

Ok, I found out the problem. It seems that the plugins were located in my User
profile, in an .eclipse folder. Its interesting that they were put there, rather
than in the eclipse program folder....
