I have an eval version of Pydev extensions. I was able to initially break using
pydevd.settrace() The source files are found in eclipse but am unable to set
break points from eclipse. Is this supported in the eval version?

Yes, it is supported.

There is, however, a bug in pydev in which you cannot add breakpoints in files
that are not in your project (when those files are opened as external editors)
-- if that's not your case, please add a bug report.
