I seem to have solved my own problem. It looks like there were problems since
I was using gcj instead of sun java. I installed the latest sun java (jre1.5.0_08).
Then after wiping out eclipse and starting with a fresh copy, I was able to
successful install v1.2.2 of pydev and the extensions.
