Well, later versions of pydev analyzed files that were not in your pythonpath.
In the latest versions, it requires you to have your files in your pythonpath,
so, you probably don't have the pythonpath correctly configured (try checking
the getting started manual: http://www.fabioz.com/pydev/manual_101_root.html
to see how to do that).
