I am trying to use tabs and not spaces. In the preferences I do not have "Replace tabs with spaces while typing" set in either the general or the Pydev preferences.
The first time I do a tab it works correctly, like a tab. But if I hit tab a second time then it changes to spaces.
If I hit enter after an if statement, then it does the 2 tabs.
I chose View Whitespace from the General Text Editor preferences and it shows 1 tab is a tab, the second tab is 3 spaces.
I just discovered, while playing with it that this only happens when I have a comment underneath the if at the same indentation level.
If I do not have the comment there then when I hit tab it does 2 tabs automatically.
When it gives me 2 correct tabs, if I want another tab then it will give me spaces.
Seems like a bug for me... Can you open a bug report for that (please attach a file with an example where this happens and the instructions to reproduce it).
OK. Bug report 2064164
Ok, fixed ;-)
