ok, this is a bit absurd.. I create a new file, try to save it.. get dialog that says "enter or select the parent folder.. no "browse" button… WTF???? so I type in "Documents" - it says this project doesn't exist.. please don't tell me I cant' create and save a simple test HTML file or a simple .txt file with some info on my desktop without first creating a "project"… this is really not very practical… (even in DW you don't need to create a project to save a file..) no "browse" button so you can tell it where to save the file?? come on.. what am I missing????
Unfortunately, it's an eclipse issue, you can't create an untitled text file and save it outside of the workspace (i.e.: under a project).
Now, note that you can still work with files not in the workspace, but you have to create them externally and drag it into eclipse, or use the file > open file option (then you'll be able to edit the file and save it properly).
