Just a doubt, you said the problem happens when creating a new PyDev project… is that it or do you mean that the error happens when you're trying to install PyDev?
Yes,Fabio. Troubles occur when i create Py project. I have installed successfully PyDev(or not).
Thx, after replacement of links, the error "cant find repository" disapperared.
But it still doesn't work. When i am trying to create new project a window occurs "The selected wizard could not be started."
When i go to Preferences-PyDev there is an error "Unable to create the selected preference page."
P.S. is it necessary to install Aptana Studio ?

It seems there really was an error during the install… (probably the network got down during the installation and eclipse got lost somehow). You can try uninstalling and reinstalling again…
It's not necessary to use Aptana Studio 3, but using it has the advantage that PyDev is preinstalled :)
Cheers,
Fabio

Hi all.
I encountered the problem. When i am trying to create new PyDev project, an error occurs:
Error
Unable to load the repository http://pydev.org/updates
Unknown Host: http://pydev.org/updates/content.xml
When i open this link(http://pydev.org/updates) in my browser, it redirects me here - http://pydev.org/updates/content.xml
So i understand my Eclipse: he can not find repository because there's nothig to look at this link…
Does anybody know how to solve this problem?
P.S. I installed PyDev as described here http://pydev.org/manual_101_install.html (Help-Install New software-and so on…)
Thank you.

It may be that it was a temporary issue (the server could be down or your own internet connection could have problems), so, can you check again with http://pydev.org/updates/ If it still doesn't work, try with the address it'll forward you to: http://update-production-pydev.s3.amazonaws.com/pydev/updates
