"problems opening perspective"

eclipse sdk 3.6.0
installed pydev via eclipse install new software manager. when i open the pydev perspecitve i get this error, "Problems opening perspective 'org.python.pydev.ui.PythonPerspective'.
tried to uninstall it so i can reinstall, but there is no uninstall option in the About Eclpise sdk->installation details->PyDev for Eclipse
nevermind.
i cleaned out the "dropin" folder and re-downloaded PyDev via the install manager and the error is no longer there and i'm able to code.
beats me where the uninstall plug-in option is though
