#1414 import marked w/ red X yet code works

Pydev flags the following import as an error i.e. "red X",
yet the code executes correctly both under pydev and python

from modExpat.modExpat import modExpat

I can avoid the problem by making the package name different
from the module name

from pkgExp.modExpat import modExpat

Attached is example code in a single pydev project ( two packages: one exhibiting the problem, the other with the workaround)

Eclipse Indigo, python 3.2, current pydev. The problem has been there a while.
Once I discovered it worked anyway, I lost motivation to submit a report.
Now I am getting obsessive about getting the nits out of my code.
