Hi, Patrick.  Good question.  I don't know the answer, so I'm copying

We've actually been getting more discussion going lately, so now is
probably a good time to get involved.  If you really want to get it
working on the iSeries, I can give you developer access to the code
and you can make sure it works for you.  Just let me know your
SourceForge account name (pbielen ?) and I'll set you up.
